Sağlam’s Flat

Rumelihisarı, Istanbul, 1999

This 3-bedroom flat was designed for the Sağlam couple as a living space according to their needs, taste, and lifestyle. All furniture was designed and custom-made for the Sağlam couple, including the kitchen, bedroom and living room. 

The design solution for the digital home-theatre system in this flat was a remarkable one, where it was embedded into a wall between the living room and the corridor, where all the cables could be accessed. A sliding panel, showcasing a painting by Selahattin Yıldırım, was placed in front of the system to protect it from dust and daylight when it was not in use.
