When this space was first approached, it was an open terrace on top of a 2-floor-building, when after heavy rain filled with almost knee-high water all around.
First of all, a metal construction roof was built over this terrace to get an office space, while the stories below were planned as workshops. Miné created and converted the 600 m2 open space into an open design office –a 9-meter table placed at the center of the space was the design area called “the design island”. The two managers' offices, the accounting department, kitchen, storages, and other service areas, were all within the concept of work and have fun in the office, where the space was flexible and economic for its staff.
This office was imagined as a space that represented all the ingenuity of CADRO Design and the production team. Therefore, the concept was created by Miné and Melih Arapkir. All separators and furniture were designed by Miné specifically for this concept and they were all produced in the CADRO workshops.
