Toys for Togetherness

During the Toys for Togetherness workshop, the moments and experiences of communication and interaction the workshop participants shared through toys were captured and drawn by Miné. Her hand-drawings and photographs taken by Cynthia Bodenhorst were displayed in the exhibition, publicizing the results of the Civic Women: Community Visions project at Kino, the cinema building of the town, in Horazdovice (3 August, 2019).

In addition to Miné’s drawings and Cynthia’s photographs, all the old traditional wooden Czech toys, played with, repaired and re-created in the workshop were also installed and exhibited in the cloakroom of Kino. Through play, all items in the installation brought with them the essence of connection and collaboration between the workshop participants, artists of the project, and students of the Special School in the Garden.
