Toys For Togetherness

The Special School in the Garden, Sušice, 2019

Miné explores how making toys and playing games can be used as tools to help people communicate, especially when their mental and physical abilities are very different from one another. For this workshop, developed for the children of The Special School in the Garden -The Specialni Škola Sušice Zahrade- Miné collaborated with Iva Fišerová and Marketa Mrazová. She collected some traditional and old Czech wooden toys to courage playful interactions between students and the visitors. The aim was to bridge the gap between individuals who rarely encounter with each other and let them enjoy the moment by playing.

Miné visualy documented the communication through playing and creating together with drawings. The visual documentation along with all the objects created in the workshop were displayed in the Civic Women: Community Visions exhibition.
