Wooden Hammam Clogs, 2010

Tak Tak 3 is a collection of new generation Ottoman Wooden Bathing Clogs (Nalın). This collection was created to be used in the Contemporary Hammam -Traditional Turkish Baths- and other health resorts, such as spas and thermal springs. These wooden footwears are prototyped in the practiced-based design research project titled Bathing Clogs: From the Traditional Turkish Bath to Present. In the process of the project, a user experience (UX) research was conducted on bathing clog use. According to findings from the field research, five wooden clog models; Tulip, Oriental, Coeval, Slim, and Shell, were developed from and for various user experiences in Hammams and Health Resorts.

Please also check Tak Tak 1, the outcome of the Contemporary Hamam Workshop that Miné participated in 2003-2004 and displayed in the Hamam exhibition in Kulturhuset Stockholm, Sweden in 2004; and Tak Tak 2, the second generation of bathing clogs, exhibited in the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial in November 2004.
